Today was the first game the Netherlands had to play in the FIFA World Cup, so this morning, the boys went to church in style:

Gabriël was a bit more daring than Tiago – he even wanted his hair painted orange!
Since we weren’t home in the afternoon, I had programmed the VCR to record the game (started 3pm), and they watched it when we got home. When I went to check on them [1], they had dressed up the TV-set in anything orange they could find – caps, sweat bands, T-shirt, toys…

Although they hardly know any rules to the game, they still shouted like any other male watching the championships – the only way I could tell they were my own kids, was by the lack of six-packs and the repeated question "Mom, why don’t they just make more goals?"
[1] – Someone whom I won’t name here (Hi Mom!) had accidentally blurted out the final score of the game when I got home, but I managed to keep it a secret from the boys, which explains why they were watching it by themselves.
